Design-Build RFP for Prosthetics Unit at VAMC Long Beach

KAL was selected to produce a Design-Build RFP for the conversion of an existing 10,000 SF warehouse space into a prosthetic training facility for the California State University, Dominguez Hills (located in Building 149 at the VAMC Long Beach campus). Components of KAL's design tasks included a field investigation of the existing CSUDH Prosthetics School and Building 149; project coordination meetings; completion of a 35% design with a reception area with patient waiting room and library; offices with private conference/advising room; 2 laboratories and a shared demonstration room; lamination and machine room, and a plaster fill area.
